Best Bit: “God loves his children / God loves his children /Yeah …” *cue main riff*
Best Bit: The launch into the final verse when the whole song steps up a notch and suddenly sounds a whole lot darker.
Best Bit: It’s all about the lyrics (which have exactly nothing to do with the video). I’d go with the heartbreaking, “What if I was not your only friend in this world? Would you take me where you’re going if you’re never coming back?”
Epic acoustic track by a guy from a town where I used to live.
A personal favourite by one of the more unlikely success stories of Australian music.
A big song when I was in high school.
Bit of fun Aussie 90’s rock. Too bad there aren’t any dogs in the video though.
Though I’m not as enamoured by Mike Patton as some people I know, I feel like I really need to feature a Faith No More song at some point.
Remember Filter? If not, you’d probably know their song Take a Picture if you heard it anyway.
They had at least 1 other pretty good song too though. Looking back at it now, I’m a little less impressed – especially coupled with the video, which has a lot of late-90s-nu-rock-posturing. Still, it’s worth revisiting, seeing as I haven’t heard it in a long time.
Wife is in hospital for a couple of days. Nothing too serious. But she is really struggling with the food. As someone who basically lives to eat, the rubbish coming out of the kitchens there is causing her more angst than anything else.
Still, at least it’s a good excuse to play a track from one of my fave albums of all time.
