Kenny Rogers and the First Edition – Just Dropped In (Cover)

I could have found a proper video, but the truth is whenever I hear this song I always think of this scene in The Big Lebowski anyway. I actually didn’t know who performed it until now – I just knew it as that trippy song from the movie. Good to know that Ol’ Kenny did some good work before settling into the fried chicken game but apparently it’s not his original. The Wiki says that it was a Mickie Newbury song first recorded by Teddy Hill and the Southern Soul. The Mickie Newbury version somehow reminds me of Alice in Chains.
